Hello Everybody. Welcome to the first review column for Pixel Perfect with me John “the super” Cooper. I'll be bringing you the latest news and reviews on the hottest games from Clickgamer.
This week I will be reviewing the new game Raging Thunder (featured in issue 28) and seeing how it measures up to some other racing games available.
Raging Thunder is a fast paced arcade style racing game, where its all about getting to those checkpoints in time. It has smooth graphics and the game play is addictive. With the chance to get lightning speed boost or draining skulls as you speed around the track. It's important to keep your eyes peeled. One of the only reservations I have with this game is if you are slightly heavy thumbed the car can easily crash, so softly, softly does it.
In terms of the rival games I played GTS Racing Challenge. I’m afraid to say that this game was disappointing. Although the graphics are stunning, the game play is almost impossible as the car is either too slow or uncontrollable.
Another game was Mini-Trans Canada - surprising as it contains real named cars. The graphics were good but not as smooth as Raging Thunder and I found it harder to control the car.
Super Cooper's Recommendations:
Raging Thunder is a good, fun, smooth running game which has addictive qualities you look for in a game of this genre. There is a sense that you know that you could reach that last check point which was slightly out of your reach in the last race.
Verdict (out of 5):

Four Big Thumbs Up
